Events can make us rethink every part of our lives ...

A Crisis — Stuck, Confused?

At times in our lives, something dramatic may happen to us or to those around us.

The impact on us may cause us to wonder why we're doing what we're doing — questioning ourselves, our behaviour, our ambitions or our relationships. It can be quite alarming to feel the ground shifting under our feet. It can have profound knock-on effects at work and at home as we struggle to get life back in focus and find we can't carry on quite as before.

How a Counsellor Can Help

A counsellor may be able to help you sort through the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle which make up your life, supporting you while you make sense of what's happening to you.

S/he may help you explore your life or reflect on events which have caused your disquiet. S/he may be a mirror, reflecting back to you what s/he sees and hears of you, so that you begin to see things in a new and more constructive way. The counselling becomes a still point in your week which helps to ground you. Over time, you may begin to reassemble the elements in your life with new meaning, new energy and new enthusiasm.
