"The voyage of discovery lies not in seeking new horizons, but in seeing with new eyes."

Psychotherapy or Counselling?

This is a subject of great debate. Many people would say there is little or no difference. Perhaps one way of distinguishing might be to think of counselling as relatively short-term, focussed on a specific problem or difficulty.

Psychotherapy could be seen as longer-term work which addresses the underlying causes of a person's dissatisfaction with him/herself or his/her life and relationships. Some counsellors, including me, work as psychotherapists as well as counsellors according to this definition.
